Kaku! Privacy Policy
Last updated: 03/10/2026This is a courtesy translation. The Spanish version is the original and prevails in case of any discrepancy.
Kuxar Studio (“we”) operates the mobile application Kaku!. We take the privacy of our users and the protection of their data very seriously.
1. Information and consent
Kaku! is an educational application designed for practising Japanese writing. By using the application and signing in with Google, you accept the processing of information under this policy so that your progress can be kept.
2. Third-party services and data collection
Kaku! integrates Google services for its technical and commercial operation. These services may collect identifiers and technical data:
- Google Sign-In (Firebase Auth): handles your account authentication. We collect your email address solely to identify your profile and let you recover your progress data on different devices.
- Google Play Billing: all “Sensei Pass” transactions are processed through Google’s official payment gateway. We do not store or have access to your bank or credit card details.
- RevenueCat: service that verifies your purchases and manages access to paid content. More detail in section 3.
- Google Firestore: securely stores your progress (completed characters, streaks and statistics) linked to your account.
- Firebase Crashlytics and Analytics: collect crash reports and usage statistics in pseudonymised form to improve the stability of the application.
3. In-app purchases (Sensei Pass)
Purchases are processed by Google Play. Kaku! does not receive or store your card or payment details.
To verify your purchase, unlock paid content and let you recover it if you change phones or reinstall the app, we use RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.), which acts as a data processor on our behalf.
RevenueCat receives and processes: your Kaku! user identifier (the anonymous identifier Firebase generates for your account), your purchase history and status (product, dates, refunds), and the technical data needed to validate the purchase with Google Play (such as IP address, device model and OS version, and app version).
We use this data only to manage your purchase and your access to paid content. We do not sell it or use it for advertising.
We keep purchase data while you keep your account or as needed to meet legal obligations and handle refunds.
You can read how RevenueCat handles data at revenuecat.com/privacy.
4. Use of data
The data collected is used exclusively to:
- Provide the cloud sync functionality.
- Verify your purchases (Sensei Pass, a one-time payment).
- Improve the educational content based on the general use of the app.
Kuxar Studio will never sell your data to third parties or use it for advertising purposes unrelated to the application.
5. Deletion of data and account
In compliance with Google Play policies, we guarantee your right to have your information deleted.
If you want to delete your Kaku! account and permanently erase all your progress data stored in Firestore, you can request it by sending an email to admin@kuxarstudio.com from the email address associated with your account, or from the deletion request page. We will process the deletion within a maximum of 7 calendar days.
We will also ask RevenueCat to delete your customer record. The Google Play order record is kept by Google for its own legal and tax obligations. The deletion request page explains in detail what is deleted and what may be retained.
